Intermediate Pottery for Adults with Cheryl Harris (Winter/Spring 2018)

Wednesdays, 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM, January 24 - March 21 (8 classes), NO CLASS March 14, $200 plus $25 material fee.

This class is for students who already possess basic wheel-throwing skills and are ready to explore more complex forms and surface techniques. Students are encouraged to refine their sense of craftsmanship while bringing forth their personal style and creativity. Beginning and Intermediate Pottery for Adults with Cheryl Harris  (Winter/Spring 2018)

Tuesdays, 6 PM - 9 PM, February 6 – April 3 (8 classes), no class March 27, $200 plus $25 material fee
 

Beginners will be introduced to the basics of wheel-thrown pottery. Intermediate students will expand their current skill set and further develop technical skills and knowledge. Thursdays, 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM, March 1 - May 3 (8 classes), No Class March 22 and 29, $200 plus $25 for material fee, Ages 16 and up 

Beginning pottery students will learn the basics of pottery, classroom safety, clay properties, cutting, wedging, centering on the pottery wheel, and making a basic cylinder. Intermediate students will expand their current skill set and further develop technical skills and knowledge. Ceramic Lamp Workshop with Nan Rothwell

Saturday, March 3, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, $120 includes materials, Ages 18 & up

Join renowned potter Nan Rothwell of City Clay in Charlottesville, VA for the day, and learn to make a ceramic electic lamp. Not only will Nan share her secrets for throwing and decorating the lamp body, but she will also demonstrate how to wire the lamp. Enjoy a day in the clay and create your very own wheel-thrown ceramic lamp. Experience with throwing on the wheel is a must for this workshop!
